Scholarships

Seeking financial assistance? Grant-funded Discovery Labs scholarships are now available!

If program fees are out of reach for your class, we highly encourage you to apply for a scholarship. All funds have been graciously provided by the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust.

Please note that at this time, scholarships are reserved for Title I schools in San Luis Obispo and north Santa Barbara Counties. Additional scholarship information will be posted as funds become available.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

  • At this time, scholarships are available for Discovery Labs programs only.
  • Title I schools from San Luis Obispo and north Santa Barbara Counties are eligible to apply.
  • If selected for scholarship consideration, qualifying schools will be asked to provide proof of Title I status.
 

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Please complete our School Program Interest Form and let us know that you are interested in applying for a Discovery Lab Scholarship
  2. Complete the Discovery Lab Scholarship Application
  3.  Please indicate the level of financial assistance you are requesting and provide a statement of need in your scholarship application detailing how the desired program will enhance student learning

FAQs

Scholarships are reserved to one per class of up to 30 students. Fee reduction levels of 25% and 50% of total program costs are available to qualifying schools. Extenuating circumstances and the possibility of additional fee assistance may be discussed on a case by case basis.  

Title I students from PreK-12th grade are eligible for scholarships.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for your application to be processed. If eligible, you will be notified and asked to verify your school's Title I status.
