We are excited to kick off another season of Quest Discovery Labs for homeschool students! Join us from October through May for a unique science learning opportunity for your students. Similar in scope to our traditional Discovery Labs, this monthly program introduces students to a variety of ocean topics with an emphasis on hands-on learning. Every month has unique themes specifically designed for each age group and engages students through hands-on, inquiry based science learning. Explore our monthly offerings below!

Program Information 2025-26
Onsite Discovery Labs
- Program Cost: $20 per student, plus one adult chaperone.
- Some programs are offered on two separate dates to accomodate more students. They are the same in scope and content.
- Programs begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Please arrive by 9:45 AM for check in.
- K-2nd grade chaperones are required to accompany their child(ren) for the duration of the program.
- Aquarium exploration time is included at the end of each program.
Offsite Discovery Labs: Floating Labs
Join us for a two hour adventure in Avila Bay as we explore the sights and sounds of local marine life. Following an introduction to the rich cultural and natural history of the area, students become true marine scientists as they help collect and identify local organisms and study water quality at sea.
Floating labs are two hour programs aboard a 55 foot sportfishing boat operated by our local partners at Patriot Sportfishing.
- When: March 25th and April 28th, 2026
- Time: 9:45am (check-in) | 10:00am – 12:00pm (lab)
- Grade: All grade levels (K-12th grade) are welcome to participate. Chaperones are encouraged to accompany younger students, though this is not a requirement.
- Program Cost: $45 per passenger (student or adult).
- Capacity: 30 passengers.
- Children under 45lbs are required to wear a life vest. You may bring your own or use one provided by staff.
