Magnet Design Competition
Create Art Inspired by the Central Coast
The Central Coast Aquarium is excited to launch our Monthly Magnet Design Competition! Each month, community members can submit original artwork inspired by the ocean, local wildlife, and coastal life. Winning designs will be turned into magnets and featured for sale in the Aquarium Gift Shop during the selected month.
Winner Benefits

Design Inspiration
Think creatively about:
- Local Pacific Ocean animals
- Tide pool creatures
- Sharks, otters, jellyfish, and marine life
- Seasonal and summer activities
- Ocean conservation and coastal adventures
- Life along the Central Coast
Submission Requirements
- All artwork must be original
- Designs must include the words “Central Coast Aquarium”
- Artwork should fit within either a 2″ circle, or a 2”x3” rectangle (can be vertical or horizontal).
- Artwork should be colorful, fun, and family-friendly
- Digital or hand-drawn submissions accepted
- Submissions must be received by the 25th of the month prior to the featured month*
