BFLF: Kelp Forest
This fun and educational program is designed specifically for children ages 2-5 and their guardians. Each program focuses on a unique ocean animal with activities designed to encourage kindergarten readiness skills including fine motor skills, counting, and shape/color/pattern recognition.
Costal Quest: Kelp Forests
Designed for students ages 5–12, Coastal Quest is a weekly Aquarium program that enriches at-home learning through hands-on STEM activities, outdoor exploration, and creative projects focused on marine ecosystems, ocean animals, and environmental stewardship.

Science After Dark is a lecture series at the Central Coast Aquarium. An evening for those 18 and older, held on the last Tuesday of each month.

Tidepools on Tour at the Ancient Owl
Have you ever wanted to hold a sea star or hermit crab? Our Tide Pools on Tour touch tank will be at Ancient Owl Beer Garden every second Tuesday of the month. Stop by to learn about all kinds of intertidal marine invertebrates, and maybe enjoy a beer or taco too! All ages welcome!
Cal Poly Pier Open House
In conjunction with Cal Poly Pier Open House, the Central Coast Aquarium will be open to share our amazing facilities and all that we do to cultivate ocean stewardship. Enjoy special events and activities in the Ocean Discovery Park, featuring a Dunk Tank!
