Science After Dark

Science After Dark is back! 

This program is an adult lecture series at the Central Coast Aquarium. An evening for those 21 and older, held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6pm, January through May.

Last Tuesday each month (except March due to Spring Break)

  • January 28: Steven Hendricks, Cal Poly Professor “From Ocean to Plate”
  • February 25: John Lindsey, Meteorologist; wine sponsor: Sinor LaVallee
  • April 29: Sophia Barwegen, Coastal Discovery Center Coordinator “take a deep dive into what makes marine life on the Central Coast so special! From listening to the whales from the depths of the Monterey Canyon to visiting one of the world’s only octopus gardens. Learn about NOAA’s Monterey Bay National Sanctuary, the lush kelp forests and why it is so important to protect them.

Program Information

Join us from 6-6:45pm for local wine and heavy appetizers as you tour the aquarium. Coffee, tea and desserts to follow with our guest speaker beginning at 7pm
