Quest! Discovery Labs for Homeschool Groups

Dive into marine science with us as we launch our first spring session of Quest homeschool programs for grades K-12!
On Monday, April 22nd we are offering our marine science education Discovery Labs to Homeschool Groups. Programs will be split into 3 groups based on grade level. This session of Quest will feature a 1 hour program for our K-2nd grade group, and a 1 hour and 15 minute program for our 3rd-5th and 7th-12th grade groups.
If you have multiple children attending, younger kids are welcome to have free time outside the aquarium while older groups finish their programs. They may return to the aquarium after older groups are done. April program descriptions are listed below:
- K-2nd Grade: Marine Mammals! Dive into the amazing biology of marine mammals as we explore real artifacts, learn about blubber as an insulator, and compare and contrast different mammals that live in our oceans.
- 3rd-6th Grade: Rocky Intertidal! Come explore the tidepool treasures of our coastline as we learn about intertidal animals and the challenges of life in the rocky intertidal zone.
- 7th-12th Grade: Sharks and Rays! What is a shark? Are sharks actually dangerous to humans? What role does hydrodynamics play for a shark? Join us in this interactive lab featuring a closeup shark encounter!
